Coo vs Huckleberry

In short
Coo and Huckleberry both log feeds, sleep and diapers on iPhone and Apple Watch.
Coo is free with everything included. You log with single taps instead of timers, share through iCloud with no account, and can bring your history from Huckleberry, Baby Tracker, PiyoLog or your own notes.
Huckleberry is the stronger pick for nap predictions (SweetSpot), sleep coaching, solids and Android, but its widgets, Apple Watch app and Siri logging need a Plus subscription ($11.99 a month).
Side by side
| Feature | Coo | Huckleberry |
|---|---|---|
| Logging | ||
| Hands-on time for a 30-minute feed | About 2 seconds: tap “Feeding started”, put the phone down, tap “Feeding ended” later. If you forget the end, Coo works it out. | Start the feeding timer, leave it running, come back to stop it. Or type the start and end in afterwards. 1 |
| Anything left running? | Never. Every log is a moment, so there is no timer to forget. | The timer runs until someone stops it. A forgotten one means fixing the entry. 1 |
| Missed a tap | Coo fills the obvious gaps, like ending a feed when baby falls asleep or adding “woke up” before a night feed. What it adds is marked, and your own logs always win. | You cannot miss. If you forgot the end a timer, it keeps on running for hours. |
| Tapped the wrong thing | An Undo button after every log, edit or delete, going back up to 10 changes. Widget and Watch taps get Undo too. | Cannot undo the recent change. You find the entry and delete it yourself. |
| Fix a wrong time | Drag the event to the right time, or tap the time and type 3 digits. | Open the entry and change its times. |
| Apple Watch | Free. One tap on a watch-face complication logs sleep, waking, a feed starting or ending, or a diaper, with Undo. | Logs sleep, nursing, bottle, pumping, diapers and potty. Needs Plus or Premium. 5 |
| Siri and the Action Button | Free and built in. Say “Log in Coo” with no setup, or put a log on the Action Button. | You build a custom Shortcut for each log first, and say amounts exactly as written (“fluid ounces”). Needs Plus or Premium. 6 |
| Home Screen and Lock Screen | Free widgets for one-tap logging, plus last feed, awake time and today’s totals on the Lock Screen. | Widgets and Live Activities need Plus or Premium. 78 |
| Your data in and out | ||
| Import from other baby trackers | Huckleberry, Baby Tracker and PiyoLog | Nara Baby only brings in sleep, diapers, feeds, pumping and growth. 10 |

| How often you can export | Any time, as often as you like. | Once every 24 hours. 9 |

A 30-minute feed, step by step
Both apps take two taps. The difference is what happens in between, and what happens when you’re too tired to finish.
Coo
- Tap “Feeding started” on the widget, the Watch or in the app.
- Put the phone down. Nothing is running.
- Tap “Feeding ended” when you’re done. Coo works out the 30 minutes.
- Fell asleep first? Coo ends the feed for you and marks the end it added.
Huckleberry
- Start the feeding timer.
- The timer runs for 30 minutes.timer running
- Come back to the app and stop it.timer running
- Forgot to stop it? The feed reads hours long until someone edits the entry.
Tapped the wrong thing?
At 3 a.m., mis-taps happen. Coo is built to take them back in a second.
Coo
- Every log, edit and delete shows an Undo button. It goes back up to 10 changes.
- Off by a few minutes? Hold the event and drag it to the right time.
- Or tap its time and type it: three digits, like 9 3 0.
Huckleberry
- Find the entry in the log.
- Open it and change the times, or delete it.
- Cannot undo the recent change for a wrong tap or a delete.
Log from your wrist, free
Coo’s Apple Watch complications and Home Screen widgets log with one tap: fell asleep, woke up, feeding started or ended, or a diaper. A short Undo follows in case it was the brush of a sleeve. The log reaches your phone and your partner’s.
Huckleberry’s Watch app logs more kinds of events (bottle amounts, pumping, potty), but it needs a Plus or Premium membership.
Bring your whole history
Coo reads the export files from Huckleberry, Baby Tracker and PiyoLog as the apps give them, zip and all. Kept notes in the Notes app or on paper? Paste them in. For any other app, Coo gives you a prompt for an AI chat that rewrites its export into lines Coo understands.
Huckleberry imports from one app, Nara Baby, through a web tool, and leaves out solids, medicine, notes and milestones.
Export whenever you want
Coo exports any week as a CSV file or plain text, straight from the share sheet, as often as you like. It’s handy before a pediatrician visit.
Huckleberry exports your full history in one file, which Coo doesn’t do yet. But it allows one export every 24 hours, and the file arrives as an emailed link that expires a day later.
Your partner, on their own phone
Coo shares through iCloud, like a shared note. Invite a partner, grandparent or nanny, and each of them logs from their own Apple ID. There’s no account to create and no password to pass around.
Huckleberry has no invite. Caregivers sign in to the same account, and if you signed up with Apple or Facebook you first have to add an email login.
Which one fits your family?
Choose Huckleberry if…
- You want nap and bedtime predictions (SweetSpot) or a sleep coaching plan.
- Someone in the family uses Android or logs on an iPad.
- You’re starting solids and want foods, allergens and reactions tracked in detail.
- You want an AI chat for parenting questions inside the tracker.
Choose Coo if…
- You want everything free: widgets, Apple Watch, Siri, sharing.
- You’d rather tap once and walk away than babysit a timer.
- You and your partner each want your own login, or no login at all.
- You’re moving from another app or from notes and want to keep your history.
- You want your log in your own iCloud, with no tracking.
Switching from Huckleberry
- In Huckleberry, open your child’s profile and tap “Export tracking data as CSV”.
- Huckleberry emails you a download link, valid for 24 hours. Save the file to Files.
- In Coo, go to Profile → Import Events → Huckleberry → Choose File, and pick that file.
- Coo shows what it will bring in before anything changes. Solids, potty and other categories come in as custom events, with their details kept.
Questions parents ask
Is Huckleberry free?
Partly. Logging sleep, feeds and diapers is free. Widgets, the Apple Watch app, Siri logging and SweetSpot nap predictions need Huckleberry Plus ($11.99 a month or $58.99–$68.99 a year). Sleep plans and the Berry AI chat need Premium ($14.99 a month or $119.99 a year). Coo is free with every feature.
Does Huckleberry’s Apple Watch app cost money?
Yes. Huckleberry’s Watch app needs a Plus or Premium membership. Coo’s Apple Watch complications are free and log sleep, feeds and diapers with one tap.
Can my partner use Huckleberry on their own phone?
Yes, by signing in to the same Huckleberry account. There’s no separate invite. If you signed up with Apple or Facebook, you first add an email and password to share. Coo invites a partner through iCloud instead, so each person keeps their own Apple ID and no one needs an account.
How often can I export my data from Huckleberry?
Once every 24 hours. Huckleberry emails a download link that is valid for 24 hours. Coo exports any week as CSV or text, any time, straight to Files or another app.
Can I move my Huckleberry data to Coo?
Yes. Export a CSV from your child’s profile in Huckleberry, then choose it in Coo under Profile → Import Events → Huckleberry. Feeds, sleep, diapers, pumping, growth and care events map to Coo’s events. Other categories, such as solids, come in as custom events with their details kept.
Can I import my own notes into a baby tracker?
Coo can. Paste lines from Notes, a spreadsheet or paper. For an app Coo doesn’t read directly, copy Coo’s AI prompt into any AI chat with that app’s export, then paste the answer into Coo. Huckleberry only imports from Nara Baby.
What if I tap the wrong thing?
In Coo, every log, edit and delete shows an Undo button, going back up to 10 changes. Taps on widgets and the Apple Watch get Undo too. To fix a time, drag the event or type the new time. Cannot undo the recent change in Huckleberry. There, you open the entry to edit or delete it.
Is there a baby tracker without timers?
Coo has no timers. You log moments, like “feeding started” and “feeding ended”, and Coo works out how long it lasted. If you forget the end, Coo fills in the obvious cases and marks what it added.
Does Coo predict naps like Huckleberry’s SweetSpot?
Not yet. Coo’s Week and Month views show your baby’s own pattern, such as “asleep at this time on 6 of 7 days”. If nap predictions matter most to you, Huckleberry Plus is the better fit today.
Is Coo on Android?
No. Coo is on iPhone and Apple Watch only. Huckleberry is on iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Android.
